The following are a series of infographics I created for the use of the Permanent Defence Force Other Ranks Representative Association (PDFORRA) in my role as a volunteer local district representative.

The taglines ‘Citizens in Uniform’ and the ‘First to Serve’ are important parts of the core message of the association.

All service personnel are citizens who have volunteered to wear the uniform of their country and under oath have chosen to live with some restrictions on their own rights in order that the rights and freedoms of others are protected.

At any time of major national emergency, the members of our association will be the first to arrive and they are justifiably proud of that record of service since the foundation of the state.

All PDFORRA members are bound under conditions of service by the Defence Forces Regulations and the representative associations themselves are bound by DFR S6.
There are restrictions on speech, actions, associations, political activity and many others items.

The New Competency based interview system seeks to establish a more professional and transparent interview process in the DF.
It has accelerated the numbers of NCOs who are promoted and it has removed seniority as the sole deciding factor.
It is not without it flaws or detractors however it far exceeds that which went before it.

This latest graphic is being used to bring our newest scheme to our members.

PDFORRA Medical Assistance Scheme will allow our members access a top class medical treatment system at an absolute minimum cost to our hard-pressed members.
